Things I've Learned/Studied/Researched

     Baptism is required by Jesus, for many reasons:

    1. Reborn - born again by water and the Spirit -- John 3: 3,5,6;

    2. Obedience  -  1 Peter 3:21-22;  Acts 2:38;  Mark 16:16

    3. Remission of sins  -  Acts 22:16;

    4. We are dead to sin  -  Romans 6:3,4-11;

    5. Death an Resurrection  - Colossians 2:12

    6. One spirit baptized into One Body - 1 Corinthians 12:12-13

    7. All one in Christ  -  Ephesians 4:4-6

    8.  Lord, Faith, Baptism  - Ephesians 4:5

ROMANS 8:24  For we are saved by hope; but hope that is seen is not hope, for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?

1 CORINTHIANS 13:1  Though I speak with the tongue of men and of angels and have not charity I am become as sounding brass or tinkling cymbal.

EZEKIEL 14:6  Therefore say unto the house of Israel, 'Thus saith the Lord God, Repent, and turn yourselves from your idols; turn away your faces from all your abominations."

1 CORINTHIANS 15:21   For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrections of the dead.

PROVERBS 3:5   Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto understanding.

ROMANS 1:25   Who changed the truth of God into a lie, worshiped and served the creature more than the creator who is blessed forever. Amen

1 TIMOTHY 4:3-4  Forbidding to marry and commanding to abstain from meats which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving  of them which believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused if it be received with thanksgiving.

JUDE 7   Even as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example suffering the vengeance of eternal fire

2 CORINTHIANS 5:17  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature, old things are passed away, behold all things are become new.

2 CORINTHIANS 7:10   For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of, but the sorrow of the world worketh  death.

ROMANS 1:6  For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

2 CORINTIANS  9:6-7   But this I say; he which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully ; every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give not grudgingly or of necessity for God loveth a cheerful giver.

PROVERBS 16:6-7  By mercy and truth, iniquity is purged and by the fear of the Lord men depart from evil. When a man's ways please the Lord He maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.

JOEL 2:10-11  The earth shall quake before them, the heavens shall tremble,  the sun and the moon shall be dark and the stars shall withdraw their shining, And the Lord shall utter his voice before his army, for his camp is vcry great, For he is strong that executeth  his word, for the day of the Lord is great and terrible and who can abide it?

2 CORINTHIANS 13:14  The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the commission of the Holy Ghost be with you all . Amen!

ECCLESIASTES  3:15; 7:1,3   The past is now the present; the future is now the past; God requires that which is past.  7:1  A good name is better than precious ointment, and the day of death than the day of one's birth  7:3   Sorrow is better than laughter; for by the sadness of the continence the heart is made better.

Since we are justified by faith alone and not by keeping the law, Christianity is a living relationship with Christ, not a religion or a ritual. Galatians 2:16  We have believed in Christ Jesus , that we might be justified  by faith in Christ  and not by the works of the law.

GALATIANS 3:28, 29   There is neither Jew or Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female;  for ye are all  One in Christ Jesus . And if ye believe in Christ Jesus and if ye be in Christ then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
